Memorial Day and the big 3 0!!!

I have to say that Memorial Day is one of my favorite holidays! Mainly because it is the start of summer, but also because it is usually accompanied by a cookout. If you know me, you know that I am always up for a cookout. To me there is nothing like a grilled hamburger. YUM!!!

This weekend was so busy. We went to Brownsville on Sunday to see Jason's parents. Then on Monday, we went to my parents house. By Monday evening, we were so exhausted.

Jackson had alot of fun. He got to go swimming in his new baby pool. Now this is not the first time that he has gone swimming. The first time, he went skinny dipping. (The pictures that I took when he was skinny dipping, were not appropriate to post. I can just see him when he is 16 and finds out that I put naked pictures of him on the internet. I decided to post the bathing suit pictures instead)

*Here is my boy in his patriotic bathing suit. I really think that I could just eat him up!
Also, today is Jason's 30th birthday! My husband is officially "old". =) So, happy birthday Jason! I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

* Here is Jason holding his 30th birthday cake!
(I made this cake in practice for Jackson's upcoming birthday party. It is supposed to be a cow...however everyone thought it looked like a puppy. I guess I will just have someone make the cake for me!)

Can it really be 2 years already?

Well we have made it....2 whole years ago today Jason and I got hitched! I guess what they say is true "time flys when you are having fun." =)

I was looking at my wedding album today and I noticed 2 things"

1. Man, I was looking really good back then. =)
2. I love Jason more today than I did on our wedding day.

Jason, I love you so much. You have truly completed my life. You are an amazing husband and Daddy. I can't wait to see what life brings us.

The day after Mothers Day

It is so weird to think that this time last year, I was 7 and a 1/2 months pregnant with my sweet boy. Now, here I am with a 10 month old. My how so much can change in a year.

Now that I am a Mommy, I realize that this is the hardest job that a woman could be called to be. I want to tell my "Mommy" thank you... Thank you for always being involved in my life. Thank you for laughs. Thank you for being a listener. Thank you for making sure that I always "apply myself" in school =). Thank you for yummy meals. Thank you for being my taxi driver. Thank you for all the hugs. Thank you for advice. But mostly thank you for your example. You have shown me how to be a Godly wife and mommy. You will never even know how much I value that. I love you so much!

Happy Mothers Day everyone!
